1 oz. 2026 Royal Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coin

The Design

The reverse design is standard to the series, depicting the iconic Walter Ott’s sugar maple leaf. It is engraved with “CANADA” and the coin’s information in English and French, reading “9999,” “FINE SILVER,” “1 OZ,” “ARGENT PUR,” and “9999.”

The obverse showcases the effigy of King Charles III, designed by Steven Rosati, along with the engravings that refer to His Majesty’s name, “CHARLES III,” the coin’s face value of “5 DOLLARS”, and the year of issuance, “2026.”

Both sides are covered with radial lines as background surface, and, on the reverse, a small maple leaf on the lower right contains the last two digits of the year of mintage, “26.”

RCM Bullion DNA

The Royal Canadian Mint has developed a unique system of authentication for each coin produced to prevent counterfeiting: the Bullion DNA, which stands for Digital Non-Destructive Activation. During the registration process, each coin receives an encrypted string of codes, which are stored in the RCM’s database. Only specific scanners can read the encrypted code.
