100 oz. Englehard Silver Bar

$2,815.00

Engelhard got its start in the early 20th century as a platinum smelter and refiner. The early claim to fame for Engelhard was the development of the catalytic converter used in internal combustion engines.

By the 1970s and 1980s, Engelhard had become a major producer of gold, silver, and platinum bullion bars. It was also one of the first companies to introduce silver rounds, though its involvement in that market dwindled as more silver bullion coins were released, like the American Silver Eagle.

Obverse design elements on these 100 oz Engelhard Silver Bars include the identifying hallmarks of the bar. These include the purity, metal content, and weight across the top of the bar design. The name of the manufacturer is in the center of the bar, with a serial number inscribed along the bottom of the bar. All inscriptions on this side are arranged in landscape orientation, with the reverse field of the bar left blank.

These 100 oz Engelhard Silver Bars are available to you as a beautiful specimen struck with incuse design elements and boasting a firm, rectangular format.

At times, Silver bars may tone due to the natural oxidation process that has no adverse effect on the value of the Silver. The 100 oz Silver bars we sell as secondary market bars may have nicks or scratches and are priced accordingly.
